From the recording Trapeze
Nowhere to Go (4:10) Energetic folk-rock with interesting chord shift. If we’re lucky we
get a second chance at happiness, if there’s awareness and if one takes responsibility.
Until that happens, sadness and anger are truly so isolating and the inability to crush
them is deeply frustrating. The character’s love interest, however, is in it for the long
haul and their persistence pays off.

Nowhere to Go McDonnell/Lindley ©2022
Seems like
Like I’m
I’m drawn to the coldest, darkest places
I’m sad
A sad rage
My rages have broken many vases
Nowhere to go
Nowhere to go and cry
Nowhere to go until my storm blows over
Nowhere to go
Nowhere to go, my love
Please wait until my storm blows over
But when
When I
When I am wounded I’m a tornado
When I
I blow
It feels like some delicious inferno
Nowhere to go….
I ask
Ask why
Why do you stay for the bumpy landings
You say ‘I’m here
Here for
I’m here for you, and I’m still standing’
Nowhere to go…
